Another off-road runner “Ford F-150 Raptor 2017” appeared in Detroit Auto Show 2015. So Ford comes up with something that can compete RAM 1500 REBEL. Raptor and Rebel are both off-road trucks with bold look and exclusive specs. The Ford F-150 Raptor houses a powerful dual exhaust Ecoboost V6 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. The Raptor 2017 will be one of the best off-road trucks for off-road adventure enthusiasts. The previous model of this series was a big success for Ford, so the Raptor is expected to be another huge hit. The Ford F-150 Raptor 2017 will step in the market with a base price $50,000 approximately.
The vast letters “FORD” are embossed on the front grille and rear black plate. The whole outside body work is modernistic. The engine sound and tires make it a giant that runs on the off-roads like a camel in the desert. The Raptor 2017 has attractive interior that features a display on the dashboard.
Ford has not divulged anything about power of the Raptor 2017 but it is expected to have more than the last generation Ford Trucks. The power may fall between 450 and 500 horsepower. The Raptor 2017 is 6 inches wider than the previous model of same series of the Raptor to improve the grasp and stability on off-road. Most of the bodywork is done with aluminum instead of heavy metal and they saved around 500 pounds heavy metal in the process. The Raptor 2017 can pick up 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds and its top speed is 140 mph.
This 4X4 wheel drive truck has 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels covered with All-Terrain T/A KO2 BFGoodrich tires. The Raptor 2017 comes with 11.2 inches front suspension and 12.1 inches rear suspension which is really helpful during the hard impacts. The Torsen front differential improves grasping power for the front end of the Raptor 2017 to pull the truck over up steep tracks, and bypass technology in its FOX Racing Shox prevents the truck from wet and hard terrain. The company has increased diameter of front and back shock canisters from 2.5 inches to 3 inches.
There are around six driving mode present in the Ford F-150 Raptor 2017 for terrain and driving conditions including everyday driving mode, on road or street driving mode, weather mode (rain, snow or ice), sandy and muddy driving mode, high speed Baja mode for deserts and low speed Rock mode for rocks.
